The backbone of the IiS programme has to date been English & literacy and History.

Other subject areas have also contributed to enlivening teaching and learning, including:

Art

ICT

Numeracy

Design technology/Food technology

Irish

PE/Dance

Geography

Music

Religious education

An embryonic Creative Arts pathway looks promising, while various combinations
of subjects offer cross-curricular approaches to such pressing curriculum initiatives as
  • education for citizenship and
  • the handling of controversial and
    sensitive issues.

Ireland in Schools is now seeking help in developing further the Irish dimension of
these subject either in their own right or as part of cross-curricular work.

If you would like to help, please contact IiS.
